lolwhat?? [16 Feb 2009|01:05am]

From the article on Satanism:

"Destruction ritual - (may include sticking pins in a doll; drawing a picture or writing a description of the victim's death; delivering a soliloquy, etc.). Destruction rituals are best performed by a group. If a person targeted by a destruction ritual is not deserving of it, the ritual will not harm them."

I had a "what the fuck?" moment from that sentence. I had to double-check if I was reading about Satanism or Wicca. Gave me a good laugh, anyway.

"Delivering a soliloquy" is similarly lulzy.

Anyone want to add? [27 Nov 2008|03:20am]

I know this community isn't terribly active but a lot of people watch it, so I thought I'd ask.

Anyone interested in friending me? I'd like a few new people on my list to read and comment on and just generally get to know. Some of my best friends in life are people I met on livejournal.

I consider myself Luciferian (basic LaVeyanism with my own ramblings on top, in my journal for the curious). I'm 20, male and live in London, UK.

Portland Oregon? [17 Nov 2008|02:43am]

Any way I can find Satanist groups in Portland, Oregon? I'd like to be able to participate in group events and rituals after years of being a solitary practitioner. Barring that, pagan groups are fine by me too. Any kind of group of mages, where the events don't cost money to attend.

Cool site [21 Oct 2008|04:01am]

Stumbled across this on the net today, I'm going to join and I'm putting this link here for any interested Satanists:

Good Satanic online stores? [31 Aug 2008|09:52am]

Hi everyone, just joined the community blah blah...

I'm currently in the search for a sigil of Baphomet pendant, but have been having some hard time actually finding a good looking one. I just fell victim to Satan Shop (I ordered a Baphomet BEFORE finding out they'll potentially screw me over), so if this order fails, I'd like to know where else I could find a Baphomet as nice as the ones that they have. I've checked out CoS Emporium, but I'm looking for a Baphomet exactly at 1.25 inches (and what they got is too big/small). I've done much searching, but most of things I've found look like utter crap. Any tips?

Satanic magazines? [27 Jul 2008|12:49am]

I have a question for anyone who can answer: do you know of any Satanism/Luciferian magazines, magazines for/by Satanists and/or Luciferians? 'Cause I'm interested in writing for one, and Google is not being cooperative. I know I was able to find some years ago when I was interested in reading them, but now I get squat from Google. Also interested in other magickal magazines as well.

Cross-posted several places.

The Satanic Witch [29 Jan 2008|12:55am]

I've started a community for fans of Anton LaVey's book The Satanic Witch. If you've read it, enjoyed it, come share your experiences and advice with like minded ladies.

Come join me... [18 Oct 2006|12:52am]

I just joined and want to let you know I'm here if anyone would like to come join me. Here's a portion of my post today. I wanted to share it.

It reads:

1. With so much literature on the occult, what should I read?

As with every subject you can just about name, so too is true about the occult. That is to say, there are dozens, yea, literally thousands of books, magazines and other information about the occult. So while it may be convenient to find something to read and learn from it is not always prudent to read just anything.

Take for instance this text by Eliphas Levi on the occult. It reads: “Black Magic is really only a graduated combination of sacrileges and murders designed for the permanent perversion of a human will and for the realization in a living man of the hideous phantom of the demon. It is therefore, properly speaking, the religion of the devil, the cultus of darkness, hatred of good carried to the height of paroxism; it is the incarnation of death and the persistent creation of hell.” --Transcendental Magic

This text is considered by many to be a fine work on the occult but Church of Satan founder Anton LaVey disagrees (and SO DO I). LaVey wrote: "This is the writing of Eliphas Levi, one of the sustainers of occult UNwisdom of the nineteenth century. In Levi’s works we are confronted by page after page extolling the merits of Jesus Christ as king and master. Any Satanist who has ever read Transcendental Magic cannot help but see Levi’s great contribution to Christian theology. I MEANT what I said in The Satanic Bible, when I referred to such prior garbage as ‘sanctimonious fraud—guilt-ridden ramblings and esoteric gibberish by chroniclers of magical lore unable or unwilling to present an objective view of the subject.’ Yet it not only saddens but antagonizes me when I find a member impressively stating his adherence to or compatibility with these worthless ravings. It is bad enough to hear of the ‘great teachings’ of Aleister Crowley—who hypocritically called himself by the Christian devil’s number, yet steadfastly denied any Satanic connections....If Crowley was a magician, it was the beauty of his creative art which made him so, not his drug-befuddled callings-up of Choronzon, et al....No, I cannot accept the worth of these masters, who couldn’t even get off a semi-logical thought.”

A brief hello... [05 Oct 2006|11:32am]

[ mood | cheerful ]

Hello All, my name is Becca and that is what you may call me until you know me better. I am 19 and live in Florida. I read the Satanic Bible about 3 1/2 weeks ago to this date, although the things and beliefs I have practiced all of my life are considered Satanic. I'm also in the LeVay_Satanism community, so this might be a re-introduction to some. I would like to learn more about Spiritual Satanism, and LeVayan concepts. Thank you for accepting my request to join this community.

Yo [03 Jun 2006|08:34pm]

Hi. I'm Dark Marionette. Or you can call me DM or Lo. Lo is short for my sort-of actual name, which is Lolita Leigh Smith. More about why it's my sort-of actual name, later.

I'm a Luciferian and a Setian who's too poor and too cheap to join the Temple of Set. There are also extenuating circumstances... that is, this is only one Face/Aspect of me. I'm a mid-continuum multiple, which is sort of like having multiple personality disorder, except that it's different. If you wanna know more about that, then click here. If not, whatever. It might be down now, but it'll be back up once PMC's done moving the site to its new server. Click to find out, I guess.

I'm a Goth at heart, though I don't dress Goth all that often. I think being Goth is more about how you think than how you look.

Okay, that's it I guess.

- Lo

Intro and Questions [17 Apr 2006|10:25am]

Okay, I'm an 18 year old girl. This brings up some problems because how exactly does a girl go about worshipping Satan? I've heard it's a very sexual religion, so are there different guidelines I would have to follow?

And could somebody explain "Spiritual Satanism" to me? Not the LeVayan version, but the Spiritual version.

Much thanks.

Privyet. [11 Feb 2006|04:30pm]

Dobro dosli. I'm Milena, a huge science advocate and not necessarily a Satanist. I abhor introducing myself, so ask me some questions and I'll go on from there. Would one mind helping me acquaint myself with the ideology and branches of Satanism?

Lj Changed [02 Dec 2005|08:20pm]

I have changed my livejournal (used to be poshtayo or something) so I thought I would let you know.

Just showing off.... [18 Nov 2005|04:04pm]

[ mood | bouncy ]

I just got this and I like it a lot. It was hard finding an inverted cross (and most of the ones I did find were really tacky.)

Just wanted to show it off.
If this image is too big and too many people want it under a cut I will but my personal judgment tells me it's fine.

Indroduction [09 Nov 2005|10:52pm]

I am new to this livejournal community but I am not new to Satanism (well, I'd say not new to it, but some might differ).

I just thought I would make a quick entry to introduce myself.

I'm 19 and from Ontario, Canada. I maybe only 19 years of age, but my knowledge is forever growing, and my inner strength is of more then most my age and even older. I beleive you should live for yourself, learn as much as you can about everything, and do what i sbest to further yourself in life. I'm 5'6", with brown eyes and long, dark brown to black hair. I own a kittne, 8 months old, named Chris.

As far as Satanism goes, I'm a member of the COL (The Cirle of Levianthan). I'm a Modern Satanist. I found Satanism in a time of great need. I researched it for many months, and I still often do. I, along with the other members of the COL, are trying to get Satanism recognised for what it really is, and create a Satanic Free State. It is a work in progress. But one day we strongly hope to have Satanism be made and scene for what it truely is, a religion of self-confedence, self-will, and self-improvement. We are not like those of other religions. We are strong and true to ourselves and fallow no God or Gods, because we are the Gods, we control our own lives.

Anyways, I hope to meet some like-minded individuals and spread the "good" word here. I hope there are others who feel the same and that thi sis not just a group of people calling themselves Satanists to gain shock value.

Introduction [13 Oct 2005|11:04am]

Hello, everyone. I'm Luke. I've been interested in satanism for several years now, though only for the past two or three have I identified much as a satanist.

I'm not a big fan of LaVey, I think philosophically LaVey and most of the modern Satanist scene is pretty weak. My interest is in the traditional or theistic Satanism, though even there I'm a bit of an outsider. I consider myself a Catholic Satanist or traditional Devil Worshiper, meaning I tend to use Catholic mythology and theology, though I consider myself on the Devil's team.

Any sincere reading of Catholic theology will reveal how God encourages self-abasement, denial, the rejection of passion, etc. I accept sin and join hands with satan to begin my exploration of my self and my desires.

I look forward to some worthwhile discussion coming out of this group.
